La presse latérale d’établi – Outillage pour le bois
Making a lateral bench press tool for wood.
After several weekends of constant work in the woodshop my table saw has started to show signs of wear – scratches, sap, glue and a rust spot. The rust stots were me begin a little over zealous with the spray bottle while sharpening some plane irons.
I was recently commissioned to create a podium that could be used by a company’s staff who ranged in height from 5’ to over 6’ so rather than making it a fixed height with an accompanying stool for the shorter staff members, I wanted to make this easily adjustable.
In one corner behind the bench there was a wall of fake brick. In photos this gave the illusion of working in an old brick barn rather than a large ‘shed’.
On returning home I set about creating a similar illusion behind my bench.
I have long been a proponent of recycling wood – and when a friend of mine said they wanted a rustic coffee table I jumped at the chance to use some reclaimed barn boards to craft a new coffee table.
