Up until the mid 1800s nails were either forged or cut. These styles of nails largely disappeared during the late 19th century as cheaper nails made from steel became more prevalent. These were known as wire nails. However, cut nails grip better than wire nails.
Over the christmas holiday we have been going through some old photos – these were fun to find.
Recently we visited dear friends in England and while we were whiling away a very pleasant afternoon I happen to notice their book shelf was sagging quite considerably. Read more…
