Made of Oak about 5″ long. Drop me a line if you think you know what this is used for.

I love these old tool challenges you come up with! The v plane last month had me imagining many things – like a device to use between the skirting and floor boards to install micro bore pipes with! Or decorative planing a skirting or architrave or even furniture mouldings. The brass plate looks like a uniform protector for polishing brass buttons etc. The above some sort of mitre device for installing roof purlins or corner mitre for eaves work or even architraves perhaps? Keep up the good work. Warmest.
