The Cabinet 1932

I came across this delightful video when I was restoring an old card table.  As the video says loosely translated ,”Sponsored by the Association of learning for the furniture industry, this silent film presents the profession of cabinet maker. The explanatory boxes alternate with footage describing the stages of manufacture of furniture: logging in the forest, sawing logs, furniture design by the designer and planning the directions, work in woodworking shop (preparation of veneer by sawing, slicing or peeling, implementation leaves veneer and assembly mortise and tenon or dovetail, setting color or varnish).
