Latest project is a custom oak kitchen cabinet.
As with all my projects, I start with a sketch, usually on any piece of paper I have at hand – With this sketch, I discuss with the client any changes and confirm measurements, and then go from there…
With the height of this, I opted for two fixed shelves (to stop and flexing in the lower section) housed in dados and 4 adjustable shelves.
I was constrained by the size of an existing top door and needed to match a bottom door. However in the end it was easier to make a new top door.
All the faces are Oak, and the finish is Watco Natural Danish Oil (a favorite of mine).
The stiles and rails are solid oak with double round moulding and 1/4″ panels.

Michael did a great job for what I wanted in relation to having a small kitchen and gaining some much needed cabinet space. The chimney cabinet was very well built and will suit my needs perfectly. Thanks again Michael! Great job and looks amazing!
P.S. My wife loves how much extra space there will be.
