Several Months ago I posted an article about one of my all-time favorite authors Charles H. Hayward – his book The Complete Book of woodworking is a great book if you are just starting out in woodworking – indeed when I first started working wood in the early 70s this was the book I used.
A couple of years ago I had the privilege of attending one of Roy Underhill’s classes in Pittsboro NC. In this very delightful video, Charles Neil gets a tour of the Woodwright Shop from Sir Roy.
Start with two pieces of contrasting wood, I am using some very old wormy maple and a piece of equally old walnut.
